Clara Yang

Clara plans to develop her skills in creative collaborative music leadership and explore its possible applications to aspects of health care.

After graduating from Duke, Clara taught seventh grade science through Teach For America in Red Hook, Brooklyn. She was also a teaching artist with the Youth Orchestra of St. Luke’s and the New York Philharmonic, freelance flautist, and associate conductor of the Manhattan Wind Ensemble.

Currently a student at Harvard Medical School, she is using her strengths in both music and medicine to advocate for equitable and holistic health for children.
