The 2016 Ciompi Quartet Presents summer chamber music series celebrates its fifth season in the beautiful Duke Gardens Kirby Horton Hall. These concerts consistently sell-out and the audience continues to delight in the intimate and relaxed setting that has come to define this summer series. The opportunity to hear the Quartet members share their individual curatorial insights and programming inspirations, adds a joyful excitement to each concert evening. We invite you to join us for the 2016 Ciompi Quartet Presents, which continues to be one of the must-see chamber music events of the summer. On August 18 Fred Raimi presents MUSIC FOR VOICE, VIOLIN, CELLO AND PIANO. Raimi's guests will be soprano and UNC-CH faculty member Jeanne Fischer, violinist and Wake Forest faculty, Jacqui Carrasco, and pianist Jane Hawkins from Duke for this last concert in the Ciompi Quartet Presents summer series. Program: Shostakovich: Seven Romances on Poetry of Alexander Blok, Op. 127; Lori Laitman: The Love Songs of Marichiko.
