Sonatas by J. S. Bach and Cesar Franck. Eric Pritchard, Duke professor and member of the Ciompi Quartet, and guest cellist William Conable will be joined by Duke student violinists Carolyn Chang and Jenny Li, and violinist/pianist Roman Lin. As First Violinist of the Ciompi Quartet, Eric Pritchard performs regularly throughout the U.S. and abroad and can be heard on many commercial recordings. He has appeared as soloist with orchestras including the Boston Pops, Orchestra of New England and Indianapolis Philharmonic. Festival appearances include Mostly Mozart, Norfolk, Great Lakes Chamber Music Festival, Monadnock Music, Highlands-Cashiers Chamber Music Festival, Eastern Music Festival, and the Castle Hill Festival. William Conable is Emeritus Professor of Music at the Ohio State University, and has appeared as cello soloist with the Columbus, Youngstown, Springfield, Knox County, and Welsh Hills Symphonies. For eleven years he was Principal Cellist of the Columbus Symphony, and has served in the same position for the Youngstown and Springfield Symphonies and the Dayton Opera.
