Professor Emeritus Alexander Silbiger unveiled the second, revised edition of his Frescobaldi Thematic Catalogue Online (FTCO) at its new home on the Society of Seventeenth-Century website: https://frescobaldi.sscm-jscm.org. The FTCO presents incipits in full score of over nine hundred compositions associated with Frescobaldi, along with their sources, modern editions, scholarly literature, and annotations. The open-access site has a much improved interface and a few new search features.

The FTCO was originally created in 2008-2010 with the support of the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and the help of four graduate students (Chiayu Hsu, Andrew Pester, Jessica Wood, and Roman Testroet). Since its inception it has been consulted by musicians and scholars from all over the world. The catalogue provided for the first time catalogue numbers for every known composition of Frescobaldi. These numbers, preceded by the letter “F”, have been introduced in publications of his works and online reference sites such as Grove Music Online, the RISM Catalogue of Musical Sources, IMSLP, and Wikipedia.
