Introduction to Electronic Music Composition

Introduction to composing electronic music using variety of software such as Logic, ProTools, Ableton, Audacity, Max/MSP, SuperCollider, etc. Concepts covered include recording/editing/mixing; plugin FX; MIDI; sampling; synthesis, etc. Readings and listening assignments explore history of electronic music. Course relevant to wide array of student musical interests, from experimental to EDM.
