Class of 2027
Majors in Music (Concentration in Cello Performance) and Mathematics, Minor in Economics

I'm from New York, NY majoring in both Music and Mathematics and minoring in Economics. As a musician, I am mainly involved with the Duke Symphony Orchestra and the Chamber Music program, but you might also find me in performances with the Wind Symphony, Opera Theater, or any other ensemble that needs the occasional cellist. As a mathematician, I’m working towards a career in finance, where I can use modeling and algorithm development to solve real-world problems. Outside of my academic pursuits, I play basketball in pickup games and on intramural teams, I run with Duke Running Club and Triathlon Club, and I attend board game nights with my friends.

Favorite Class: My favorite class at Duke was Math 221: Linear Algebra and Applications. Linear algebra is an eye-opening topic because it is foundational for many other fields of math and it bridges the concrete and abstract in unforeseeable ways.
